A camp that lands you smack dab in the ultimate surfer’s lifestyle.

WE OFFER SIMPLE AND COMFORTABLE ACCOMMODATION,
THAT’S PRETTY FRIENDLY TO YOUR WALLET.

“A mix between a stranded ship and traditional Indonesian long house.”

The first five years saw all profit reinvested back into the site. Step by step as each camp was held, the surfcamp naturally grew into what it currently is today. It modified into somewhat of a surf retreat that holds something unique that all of us try - but can't quite - put into words.

The surfcamp has been custom-built throughout the years to facilitate your own surfing journey. With a ground level restaurant, upstairs chill-out terrace facing the ocean, a private yoga shala, and a beachfront skate bowl... the stage is set.

Our surfcamp is located at the end of the road going through Gerupuk village on the south-coast of Lombok, you find us on the beach at the foot of a hill with the boats anchored just in front of our skate bowl.

Rooms and other ammenities

There are a variety of options to choose from at different comfort levels and prices.

Our beachfront surfcamp also has a yoga shala, skate bowl and chill-out areas.

No matter which of our options you choose, you’re never more than a stone’s throw from the sea and the swell.

Our boats are parked in the natural harbour that faces us so we can get from bed to break in a matter of minutes.

Shared dorms

The dorms are situated right in our longhouse, the heartland of the camp. The building is a local style construction made of bamboo and wood.

There’s an adjoining wc/shower, common room with a projector, a fridge and a library, which makes it the most community-centred accommodation in Gerupuk, Lombok.

EACH DORM HOUSES FIVE PEOPLE AT A TIME.

Private double or twin rooms

Our private rooms overlook the yoga shala and have both single and double occupancy. Each one has an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. The private rooms are part of the traditionally built longhouse.

Glass house with garden view terrace

The glass house is equipped with a private terrace overlooking our garden and yoga shala, a king-sized double bed, and an outdoor bathroom.

Surfer cabin with ocean view terrace

Our newly built teak wood surfer cabins equipped with an ocean view terrace and outdoor bathroom. Each cabin has a king size double bed, air conditioning and working desk.

Bungalow with ocean view terrace

This 2-storey bungalow has one king size double bed upstairs and one single bed in the living room on the ground floor. It can fit up to 3 guests and comes with an outdoor bathroom, small kitchen and beautiful terrace facing the ocean.

Common areas.

SPACES WE ALL SHARE AND TAKE CARE OF.

Restaurant

Our idea with the restaurant at the surfcamp is very easy.

Our guests are mostly surfers, and surfers spend most of their days in the ocean paddling for dear life to catch waves and burning energy.

Our food is packed with flavour, cocked well and served large. We make sure that you’re set to surf another day.

Veggies from local farms and close relations with local fishermen in the bay, one or two chickens come straight from our neighbours and some of the fish we spear ourselves.

THE CANTEEN WILL FILL YOU UP.

Livingroom

The terrace on the top deck looks over the ocean and is set up with hammocks and sofas along with a little custom treehouse.

From board games to books, theory classes to surf documentaries, this is one of the common areas of the surfcamp.

Skate bowl

Back in 2010 we hosted a volunteer project that went on for four weeks. The idea was to create a community meeting space where local kids and tourists could meet, skate, and learn.

It worked. Occasional skate comps and daily visits from the village groms, it was one of our best ideas to date.

Yoga shala

Yoga and surfing go hand in hand. There’s nothing like stretching your hips and opening your shoulders with some restorative yoga in our yoga shala.

We have regular classes with experienced teachers who will help your body stay in top form for the entirety of your stay in our camp.
